Tim Quilty

Member of the Victorian Legislative Council

Tim is currently a Member of the Victorian Legislative Council representing Northern Victoria.

Tim grew up on his family farm near Adelong in New South Wales and boarded at St Joseph’s College in Sydney. After school he continued to work on the farm prior to becoming an accountant and moving to Wodonga where he worked for the Australian Taxation Office in its advisory office helping taxpayers minimise their liability.

Tim joined moved from the Outdoor Recreation Party to the Liberal Democrats in 2007. He has held a number of executive positions within the Liberal Democrats and contested seats in the House of Representatives in four elections. He has held office in Wodonga council which he resigned upon election to the Victorian upper house in 2018.

Tim has a wife, Olga, and two young boys. He enjoys a variety of outdoor pursuits including shooting and fishing.
