Research Fellow in the Blockchain Innovation Hub at RMIT
Dr Darcy Allen is an academic economist working on new technologies. He is a Research Fellow in the Blockchain Innovation Hub at RMIT University. His academic contributions have spanned across the economics of innovation, regulation, law, and public policy. His latest book is Cryptodemocracy: How Blockchain Can Radically Expand Democratic Choice (2019) and he was the co-editor of Australia’s Red Tape Crisis: The Causes and Costs of Over-Regulation. He has also published over 50 research reports and opinion pieces, appeared as an expert witness before state and federal parliamentary enquiries, and sits on the editorial board of several journals.
Dr Allen is also an Adjunct Fellow at the Institute of Public Affairs, Academic Fellow with the Worldwide Blockchain Innovation Association, and a Research Affiliate of the University College London Centre for Blockchain Technologies. His website is darcyallen.net and his Twitter is @DrDarcyAllen
