Dr Chris Berg is a Senior Research Fellow at RMIT Blockchain Innovation Hub. Dr Berg is one of Australia’s most prominent voices for free markets and individual liberty, and a leading authority on over-regulation, technological change, economic freedom and civil liberties.
Dr Berg is the author of seven books. His most recent are The Classical Liberal Case for Privacy in a World of Surveillance and Technological Change (Palgrave Macmillan) and Against Public Broadcasting: Why we should privatise the ABC and how to do it (Connor Court Publishing, with Sinclair Davidson).
He is an Adjunct Fellow with the Institute of Public Affairs, is on the academic board of the Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance and the Samuel Griffiths Society, as well as being a founding board member of the Worldwide Blockchain Innovation Hub and the International Society for the Study of Decentralised Governance.
He holds a PhD in economics from RMIT University and bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Melbourne.
